TA DA!

Quick preview for my family far away...still have to accessorize yet and paint the trim...but
I LOVE IT!

Hey there everybody...been kinda busy lately (we have SNOW! & lots more on the way) plus the computer power switch decided to blow (3 days with no computer-what a tragedy!) Mags and Trent are on this kick about who is older and who is younger. Well, Mags is 2 minutes older than Trent...so Trent decided he was quite proud that he was the youngest of the family. I overheard their conversation..."We're twins Trentie", "But I'M the youngest Maggie", "But Trent, we're twins, we're BOTH 3 years old!", (now with an elevated voice or should I say a yell) "YOU'RE 3 years old Maggie, I'M 3 years YOUNG." So for the past 3 weeks anytime someone asks him how old he is...his reply is I'm 3 years young...and he's dead serious. LOL!

Below - the crew who braved the cold temps, (Kev went with us the day before)

Determined little Mags

Kels and Connor are starting the stacking thing again at school...more on that later, Dad is moving in 10 days, we've had a blast tobogganing and playing in the snow, our rec room has had a major makeover - rockin' red, poor Bri has been out of commission for a week with back spasms, oh and I've picked up a part-time job as a paper carrier (wink wink), needless to say life is anything but boring around here. So all, if the van is in the driveway, pop on in, it only takes 5 minutes for the kettle to boil and you can join us for coffee amidst our delightful organized chaos! Ta ta for now! Lor

The tag team riders Ashleigh & Trent - they even managed to pull/push the GT up the hill!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OPA!!

Wow, it seems like we just celebrated Opa's 70th, but another year has gone by. God has continued to grant Opa good health and this past year he & Oma were able to celebrate their 45 th anniversay!! How blessed we are!

Bri and the kids toured on down to help Ev and kids celebrate with Opa...I had to work and missed out on some good company, a delicious roast beef dinner and dutch pasteries...

Chillin' with the grand chillin!

On the right "track"

Well, we thought maybe we would go skating for an afternoon (due to the lack of snow outside), however, the kid's skates were too tight, hmmm, maybe we'll go for a hike instead--NOT--unless you wanted to be up to your knees in mud! Happy Feet was playing at the theatre but not everybody wanted to see that, SOOO, we decided to take a walk along the tracks by my Mom and Dad's house. We packed a thermos full of hot chocolate, a bunch of rice krispie squares and grabbed Dad and Nicole along the way for a wonderful 1 1/2 hour walk.

Dad and his daughters

We enjoyed a gorgeous, balmy winter(?) day, the sun shone warmly on our backs, the breeze blew refreshingly in our faces and we all would agree, hands down, that was the best way to spend the afternoon. Excercise, fun, laughter, fresh air...

A Kodak moment...a soon to be an 8x10 baby!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It is our prayer that everyone enjoyed a blessed Christmas and that a happy and healthy New Year is in the future for you. May we all strive to live lives that glorify God in all that we do, praying for one another and encouraging one another along the way.

A few of the games we played with the kids on New Years

Thanks to Rob and Marg for hosting the New Year's Eve Party...we all had a wonderful time

Church Bowling on New Year's Day

1 week of late nights + bowling + watching the CARS movie = the above (Zzzzzzz's @ 5:00p.m.)

His, Mine and Ours...

We opened gifts with our own little family on the 23rd and it proved to be a fun afternoon! Kelsey and Connor lovingly saved up their paper route money and bought everyone, including eachother, a gift. It was so cute to see the anticipation in their eyes...will they like the gift I bought?? They both voiced later that day that it really did feel good to GIVE (especially when you've earned the $$ yourself). Amen to that.

Why you should NEVER let a 2 Litre of COKE fall on your toe...YIKES...poor Mags!

On Christmas Eve we got together with Dad, Kevin & Carole, Ashleigh, Jaden, Nicole & Wade and yours truly for an evening of food, games etc.

On Christmas Day went to church, watched the kids Sunday School Program and then my entire side of the family, plus the Cross family, were treated to a gourmet Turkey/Strip Loin Feast prepared by Wade (the Take Home Chef as I call him) It was absolutely delicious Wade (pictured below). He topped the dinner off with Creme Brulle and Cocoa Truffles...anyone want to follow his dinner...Easter??

Ready for church Christmas Day...camera was fogged up :(

Mags and Trent were the Little Drummer Boy(s) for the Sunday School Program. On Boxing Day we headed to Gary and Brenda's for Bri's family Christmas...another nice gathering...thanks for the hospitality and fun day!
