It's been awhile...

Hey everybody, where has March gone? I am so thankful that spring is just around the corner! Every morning when Maggie wakes up her first question of the day is "TODAY?! can we go to Lakewood???" (our campground)...in response"Not until all the snow melts and it's warm enough to wear shorts Mags." (well not technically, May 24 is usually rather chilly!) No kidding this has gone on for the past hmm, 2 months!@! Well, the snow has melted several times and she has a flicker of hope that the day has finally arrived to go camping again, however, any icy blast of wind whips in as the door opens and her hope is shattered yet again! Oh well, the forecast shows double digits as we head into the weekend - no shorts yet Mag ;).

A Visit to the Sugar Bush

Connor drilling the hole

Kelsey tapping in the spile

Trent hanging the pail

Maggie placing the lid on the pail = TEAMWORK

What a fun and beautiful day - 18 degrees but windy hence my vertical hair in the above pic:(. The kids never tire of the Sugar Bush, informative wagon ride through the woods, history of maple syrup making tour, pancakes, suckers, fresh air....gotta love that!

Rope bridges...saw some not so nice falls on those...OUCH! Con, Mags and Trent mastered it though!

Greetings to the Netherlands

A short post to say hello to Bri's Mom and Dad visiting in Holland! We hope that you are having a wonderful time with your brothers and hope that you truly surprised Ome Gerrit and Tante Dien for their anniversary celebration! HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY! (It had to be belated otherwise we may have let the cat out of the bag and ruined the surprise. May God bless you with another year of happiness and health! Well Mom and Dad, you left Ontario at a good time, the weather has been dreadful!! Blizzards, freezing rain and now frigid temperatures once again! We hope to see you in a week's time (droppies in tow??-Maggie's request) and perhaps you can bring spring along with you - time for some tulips and mild weather.
Sending our love across the ocean....Brian, Lori and kids
